One
of my favorite pass-times is going out and catching local
bands. There's a lot of talent out there that never sees
any radio airtime, gets corporate sponsors or gets mainstream
distribution. Hidden in local clubs are these treasure troves
of talent. On this page, I'll continue to list a few of
my favorites. I encourage you to download them, give them
a listen, and maybe even purchase their CDs or catch them
when they play locally. |

Scott
Mangene: a true balladeer. It seems he's just found his
acoustic side after years of fronting the jam band, Sideshow
Bob. His music seems based on a topic close to his hart--his
family. His song about Jack is very cute and a Song for His
Wife is straight and true as well. I highly encourage you to
check him out:

McCloskey: All around musician featuring everything from folk
to rock. I used to enjoy his music with a band called Sideshow
Bob. Now he's out on his own and running a few side projects
out of State College, good stuff!-- www.tedmccloskey.com |
